History of the Instrument
Born in Bagnacavallo, Ravenna, in 1910, Giuseppe Lucci trained under Pietro Borghi in Modena, who had a collaborative relationship with Leandro Bisiach in Milan. In 1953, Lucci left Ravenna to establish his shop in Rome, where he continued to work until his death in 1991. He primarily focused on the Stradivari model, like the one presented here, but he also created instruments inspired by Guarneri del Gesù and G. B. Guadagnini. His work is known for its exceptional quality and meticulous craftsmanship, often featuring a golden orange or red varnish.
This instrument, one of several in our collection, is in a flawless state, with a beautiful voice well suited for any collector or player.
